Twin towns to feature in Killarney St Patrick’s Day Celebration
Killarney Town Twinning Association is working behind the scenes to bring representatives of the town’s many twins to the St Patrick’s Day Parade.
The Hummels musical group from Pleinfeld, Germany – a previous winner of the best musical act in the parade – has confirmed its attendance at the March 17 event.
“On last visit the Hummells were a big hit with the watching crowds. This is just one of the groups being brought this year by Killarney Town Twinning Association,” said chairman Sean Counihan.
A group of majorettes of Casperia, in Italy along with a mayoral delegations from Kendal England are also confirmed as are the Irish Clan from Leverkusen (Irlandfreunde Leverkusen)
“The Pleinfeld delegation alone will consist of 42 people, Things are looking up for a great occasion,” added Mr Counihan.
