Travel specialist wins top honeymoon planner award

Killarney-based travel specialist Nicola Browne Travel Counsellor, has been honoured with the 2025 Top Honeymoon Planner Award at the seventh Irish Wedding Awards.

Nicola, who has been running her own successful travel business since 2019, specialises in honeymoons, cruises, safaris, and tailor-made holidays for families and couples.

Her dedication to crafting travel experiences for honeymooners has earned her this prestigious recognition, reinforcing her reputation as a trusted expert.

“It is a complete honour to have firstly been nominated by some of the honeymoon couples I have booked and then go on to win this award. To say I am genuinely delighted is an understatement,” she said.

Adult set dancing classes return to Fossa


Fossa-Two Mile Comhaltas has announced the return of its adult set dancing classes, offering local residents a new evening activity options this winter.


The weekly sessions will run from October through December at the Fossa Community Centre, taking place every Tuesday night from 8.15pm to 10.30pm.
Designed to encourage social connection, fitness, and traditional Irish dance in a relaxed environment, the classes are open to both complete beginners and experienced dancers. Participants can drop in individually or bring friends along to take part in the weekly sessions.
The branch hopes the initiative will welcome new members while providing a consistent social outlet for traditional music and dance enthusiasts over the winter months.

Pricing starts from €1,030 total for two people sharing or €900 single occupancy in a Golfside Room. Lakeview Rooms start from €1,170 total for two people sharing or €1,040 single occupancy.


Families can also enjoy an autumn break during the October mid-term with an exclusive family offer accommodating two adults and up to three children. Rates start from €715 for a Golfside Family Room and €1,100 for a Lakeview Family Suite. Interconnecting Golfside and Lakeview Rooms are also available, catering for two adults and up to two children.
