Tragedy as cyclist loses her life in Killarney bypass traffic accident

GARDAÍ in Killarney are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the Killarney bypass this evening.
At approximately 7pm, a cyclist in her 40s was in collision with a tractor which was towing agricultural equipment on the bypass (N22). The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.
The road is closed to traffic and local diversions are in place while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examine the scene. The local coroner has been notified.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station 064-667 1160, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
