The Green and Gold of London

Over 450 people attended the Kerry Association London annual dinner dance at the Hilton Hotel in Wembley on Friday.
In a break from tradition the association did not name a Kerry London Person of the year.
Instead the association honoured long-time member and well-known London-based South Kerry man Dan Tim O’Sullivan.
The Gleesk native who founded Danny Sullivan and Sons in 1986 is also renowned for his charitable work. He received a lifetime achievement award at the event on Friday night.
Other guests included the Irish ambassador to the UK, Martin Fraser; Mayor of Kerry Cllr Jim Finucane; TV star Dáithí Ó Sé; and football legend Mikey Sheehy.
London Rose Amy Gillen also attended.
Funds were raised for six-year-old Jack Lynch. His family has strong Kerry connections and he is currently receiving treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
The Association’s annual Mass will take place in Quex Road, Kilburn, on December 10, the same days as the seniors’ Christmas party.
