The Chatroom – Rugby club calls on locals to sponsor a sod
On the hottest day of the year so far we thought it would be a shame to be inside for this week’s Chatroom so Kieran and his wandering couch made their way to Aghadoe to talk to Ger Moynihan and Liam Murphy from Killarney Rugby Club about their new fundraising initiative Sponsor a Sod.
The club is actively seeking sponsors for each virtual square metre of their main pitch to support the development of improved drainage on their main pitch and minis pitch. The guys also talked about the success of their minis age group and their plans to form a ladies rugby team in the near future. We were also introduced to Craig, Richard John and Denis who are starting with the Munster Development Squad next Monday so watch this space! The future of Killarney rugby is bright!
