The Chatroom – Luke’s Charitable travels to Fiji!
This week we invited local student Luke Casey into The Chatroom to tell us all about his recent trip to Fiji to do charity work. Now, when you think of Fiji, you don't usually think about poverty; you'd automatically think exotic beaches and things like that, however Luke informed us that about 80% of the Fijian population are living under the poverty line.
Luke told us all about the trip, the organisation he was doing the charity work for, the conditions he experienced when he was living with a local family and why he'd recommend a trip like this to anyone thinking about it.
