Talented young Killarney oarswomen row to international glory

RAPTUROUS applause rang out for talented Killarney oarswomen Ciara Browne and Ciara Moynihan this week.
The duo, members of Workmen’s Rowing Club, secured bronze for Ireland in the Junior Women’s Double at the Home Internationals in Strathclyde, Scotland.
Trained by Mikey Joe Burns, they pair were part of the junior women’s sculling team for Ireland which competed at the weekend.
Mikey Joe, head trainer at Workmen’ Rowing Club, has coached numerous crews for All-Ireland and international events down through the years.
