Sweet Lily Wins Big At AIMS Awards

Musical Societies from all over Ireland flocked to the INEC last Saturday night, June 16th, for the annual Association of Irish Musicals (AIMS) Awards.
Killarney Musical Society were up for three awards for their fantastic take on Sweet Charity which wowed audiences in the INEC this past March. Amano Muira and Rory Ward were nominated for Best Supporting Actor & Best Supporting Actress for their roles as Nickie & Oscar Lindquist but the night belonged to Lily MacMonagle who deservedly took home the Best Actress Gong for her astonishing portrayal of Sweet Charity's lead character Charity Hope Valentine.
A massive congratulations to LIly and all involved in Killarney Musical Society on this fantastic win from all of us in the Killarney Advertiser.
