Street crews the unsung heroes
Killarney Municipal District crews were out in force early on Tuesday morning clearing snow and ice from the town's roads, streets, and footpaths.
Main Street was a key focus, with crews working to ensure safe passage for pedestrians and motorists.
Road sweepers were deployed to clear snow from roads near the HaHa, Muckross Road, and Mission Road.
Workers were also active on Lewis Road, addressing any remaining ice patches.
A spokesperson for Kerry County Council said: "As well as working to make Kerry's roads safer, Council crews have also been busy clearing and treating footpaths and cycle lanes in the county's towns. This is crucial to make this vital infrastructure safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and other active travel users, as we transition from snow and slush to a prolonged icy spell."
