St Brigid’s students have their say as Gaeilge
S
SOME 205 students at St Brigid’s Presentation Secondary School took part in the Gaeilge 24/7 Challenge in the school last Thursday. Each student who was taking part collected sponsorship for the challenge, and they got a participation package from Conradh na Gaeilge including a T-shirt, a wrist band and a list of useful phrases to use during the day.
At the end of the school day, students sang two songs Falling Slowly and The Man Who Can't be Moved as Gaeilge, and had a special audience of a group of Italian students who were visiting the school on the day. “It was lovely to hear the language being spoken so enthusiastically by students during the school day. Well done to all involved,” said teacher and school PRO Vivienne Buckley.
