Sixth person charged in Thomas Dooley murder case
A sixth person has been charged in relation to the murder of a Killarney man in Tralee in October 2022.
Thomas Dooley from Hazelwood Drive in an attack at Rath Graveyard in Tralee when attending a family funeral.
His wife Siobhan was also seriously injured in the same attack.
Several people have been arrested and this week’s latest development brings the total charged in relation to the murder to six people.
As part of the ongoing investigation into the fatal assault in Rathass Cemetery, Tralee, Co. Kerry on the 5th October 2022, Gardaí on Thursday, 18th April 2024, arrested a man aged in his 40s,” said a Garda statement.
“He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in Co. Kerry. He has been charged and will appear before a special sitting of Listowel District Court this morning, at 10:30am, Thursday 18th April 2024.
“This is the sixth person to be charged in connection with this fatal assault.”
