Seasonal sparkle, smiles and fun at The Brehon
C
CHRISTMAS arrived early at The Brehon Hotel last Thursday as Santa Claus paid a visit to a festive gathering of all his pals. The man in red was guest of honour at the hotel’s annual Christmas tree party in aid of the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
Youngsters and the young at heart waited with bated breath as the magnificent 30-foot-tall Christmas tree sparkled into full-on festive dazzle after Santa officially switched on the venue’s Christmas lights.
“Children big and small were invited to attend The Brehon Christmas tree party to meet Santa and to see the giant tree,” said Brian Bowler, manager, The Brehon. The Gleneagle Concert Band and The Presentation School Choir ensured there was plenty of rocking around the Christmas tree. “There were tasty treats, hot chocolate, mulled wine for Mom and Dad and lots of surprises,” added Mr Bowler.
Of course, The Brehon Christmas Tree party is organised in aid of charity and afterwards Mr Bowler and his team made a presentation to the team from the Killarney branch of the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
