Rapturous welcome for four-in-a-row Kerry Minor heroes
T
THERE were scenes of absolute joy this evening as the four-in-a-row All-Ireland-winning Kerry Minors were welcomed home.
Led by captain fantastic David Clifford of Fossa, who notched a spectacular four goals and four points in Croke Park yesterday, the players and manager, Peter Keane, received thunderous applause along the streets of Killarney and into Fitzgerald Stadium.
From there it was on to the captain’s home club, Fossa, which also organised a homecoming, as well as laying on complimentary shuttle buses from both the Killarney and Killorglin sides of the Gortroe grounds.
