Rally School revs up excitement for 2023

Ahead of next weekend’s Towers Hotel and Leisure Centre Killarney Historic Rally, members of the organising committee visited primary schools in the areas that the rally will pass through.
A new route has been devised for the 2023 event, which will take in roads near Faha, Listry and Milltown on Saturday December 1.
In the run-up to the event, clerk of the course Anthony O’Connor and local rally driver Dave Slattery visited Faha National School, Firies National School and Nagle-Rice National School in Milltown.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the sport of rallying to the pupils and also show both the children and teachers the modern safety features of a rally car.
“We were very well received and the children and staff really enjoyed our presentations,” said Mr O’Connor.
“It is a great way to bring our sport to a new audience and promote what we do as a club. Killarney and District Motor Club is very pro-active towards our future development and this is evident through our recently announced KDMC 2 Youth Programme.”
