Pupils learn the importance of helping others
.
It was an exciting week for the pupils of Loughquittane National School as they learned the importance of helping others less fortunate.
The children were delighted to again this year participate in the annual Team Hope Shoebox appeal.
"We filled nearly 70 shoeboxes with treats, toys and presents for children who are less fortunate than ourselves," Sixth Class Teacher, John O'Donoghue, said.
"It serves as a great reminder of global citizenship, that we all share the same world and that by random circumstance of birth, some are less well off than we are."
