Public vote for Autism Friendly Town funding
Jessica O'Connor of Autism Friendly Killarney is urging public support in a vote for funding from the AIB Community €1 Million Fund.
Killarney is seeking these funds to further its inclusive initiatives.
The town was officially named as an Autism Friendly Town in partnership with AsIAm, Ireland’s National Autism Charity, in May, becoming only the third town in Ireland to do so.
Jessica, chairperson of the Autism Friendly Killarney Committee, stated that this recognition is just the beginning of Killarney's journey to create a fully inclusive society.
To support Autism Friendly Killarney, the public is asked to vote for Torc Community Family Resource Centre, the registered charity, on the AIB Community Fund 2025 website -

Voters need to provide their name and email, the charity registration number (20060329), select "Munster" as the location, and "Other" for the social theme.
A brief sentence explaining why the funding is deserved is also required. The closing date for votes is June 25.
