Prestigious Green Flag award for Killarney House and Gardens

Killarney House and Gardens has been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award for 2024.
This international accolade recognises excellence in the management of public green spaces, and Killarney's historic gardens join a select group of 120 sites nationwide- and a total of five in County Kerry - to receive this honour.
The Green Flag Award, administered by An Taisce, recognises the commitment of the National Parks and Wildlife Services to maintain the highest standards of environmental management and visitor experience.
The award criteria emphasise factors such as sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and community engagement.
In addition to the Green Flag, Killarney House and Gardens has also been awarded Green Heritage Site Accreditation, further highlighting its significant cultural and historical value.
