Popular Flea Market returning to New Market Lane
E
Earlier this month, Hazel O’Malley and Ciara O’Connor brought their flea market to New Market Lane in conjunction with the Market Square Committee and to say it was a resounding success would be an understatement. The good news for the people of Killarney is that the Old Market Flea is coming back on Sunday, July 8.
In addition to local crafts, food stalls and vintage clothes, the latest instalment of the flea market will include new sellers, organic veggies, homemade sourdough bread and live music. “The last one went so well we had to bring it back,” a representative from the Market Square committee said. “It’ll be coming back bigger and better and the plan is to have a few more over the course of the summer.”
This area has firmly established itself as one of the most thriving corners of the town and there was a really great atmosphere at the last flea market. The next one on July 8 promises to be even better so be sure to get down to New Market Lane to check it out. The event will be running from 10am to 5pm.
