Pool tournament is right on cue to raise funds for charity
T
THE annual Denis Michael Dennehy Memorial Pool Tournament has raised an impressive total of €1100 for charity.
The hugely popular event was played in November and December and the proceeds were presented by Shane Dennehy to the Morris family on Anthony’s behalf on Tuesday last. Anthony is currently undergoing treatment for Lyme’s disease in America.
Now in its sixth year, this hugely popular tournament, in memory of Denis Michael Dennehy from Artigallivan, attracts a huge entry each year, and there was a full house once again at the final in the Corner Bar, Barradubh on December 30 for a superb night of entertainment, music and song.
“The Dennehy family would like to take this opportunity to thank all the participants in Denis’s memorial tournament each year, and to all those that have supported it making it a huge success over the past six years,” said Shane Dennehy.
