Pickleball Club to hold open day

Killarney Pickleball Club will host an open evening on Wednesday, July 9 at Kilcummin National School from 6pm to 8pm.
The event is free and open to all, with no age restrictions.
The club, formed in January 2023, continues to grow following recent success at the Ulster Open.
On Saturday, club member Mike Lyne won silver in the men’s over-60 doubles category, playing alongside Tommy McCarthy from the Kingdom Club in Tralee.
The pair were aiming for a third gold in a row, having previously topped the podium in Munster and Leinster.
Pickleball is a sport that mixes elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It can be played indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court with a paddle and a perforated plastic ball. The game is suitable for all ages and skill levels.
