THE provision of age-appropriate support for young adults with cancer is the motto of You Can Ireland. This national support network will be visiting Kerry this weekend, providing an open day in Recovery Haven (Cancer Support House), Tralee, on Saturday, August 13, from 2pm to 5pm.
The network aims to help people who have had a cancer diagnosis in their 20s, 30s and 40s. “The vision of You Can Ireland is that young adults with cancer should have easily accessible and age-appropriate supports and networks to guide them and their families through the cancer experience,” said Siobhan MacSweeney, manager, Recovery Haven, Tralee.
“Why not come along and meet the team and other young adults who have experienced a cancer diagnosis? There will also be a guest speaker.”
Recovery Haven is located at 5 Haig’s Terrace, Tralee. For further information contact 066-7192122.
