One school, one final, two teams

The Mid Kerry Primary games football finals were unusual in the sense that two teams representing the same school contested the final.
On Sunday last Cullina National School fielded a gold and a blue team.
The occasion was marked with a great supporter turn out, dry weather and an abundance of quality skills on show.
The game itself was nip and tuck with some fine individual battles all over the pitch with friends and classmates pitted as rivals for the duration of the game.
The gold team pulled away in the second half and were deserving winners on the day with Capt. James Rooney raising the shield to great cheers. Picture Marie Carroll-O'Sullivan.
