O’Leary determined to return “step-by-step” to Kerry team

County footballer Sean O’Leary said this week that he is determined to return to Kerry panel after sustaining serious injuries in a car crash last month.
The Kilcummin Club player is out of hospital and recovering at home. He was able to attend last Sunday’s Munster Final at Fitzgerald Stadium as a spectator.
Afterwards his teammates invited him on the pitch during their post-match celebrations.
“It was nice to meet everyone, I spent so much time with them and especially after such a good win,” he told the Killarney Advertiser. “I am feeling good. The hospital staff were unbelievable. My goal is to go back playing football with my club and then Kerry. I will take it step-by-step.”
Sean is considered a rising star of Kerry football. He would have played a key role alongside Peter Keane’s men this season.
He won an All-Ireland Minor medal for Kerry in 2017 and was a member of the Kilcummin side that won the All-Ireland Club Intermediate Football Championship in 2019.
