Old Market Flea moving to New Market Lane
T
The ever-developing New Market Lane is set for further exciting changes this summer as details of a regular flea market have been revealed.
Hazel O’Malley and Ciara O’Connor currently run a successful flea market at Old Market Lane (behind the Laurels) and they’ll be working in conjunction with the Market Square Committee to bring the show to New Market Lane over the course of the next couple of months.
“The plan is to bring the flea market outdoors,” explains Hazel. “It’ll be up in the Market Square outside the front of the café. We’re going to take over a section of the car park on Sunday, June 17 and there’ll be local crafts, some food stalls and vintage clothes. The plan is to have twenty stalls in total and there’ll be some great music on the day as well.”
This area is quickly becoming one of the coolest little corners of the town and the flea market is sure to be a welcome addition.
