FORMER Slovenian basketball international Muharem "Muki" Vugdalic has arrived in Killarney to take up the position of director of coaching in St Paul's Basketball Club.
Muki has a wealth of international coaching and playing experience and his presence in town should give a huge boost to the continued growth and development of Killarney basketball.
He will oversee all coaching in St Paul's and will also help out with player development within the club. Muki will also be working in the local schools reaching out to several more young players in the Killarney and East Kerry area.
Muki comes from a very sporting family and his brother Muamer Vugdalic is a former professional footballer who played with Slovenia in the 2002 World Cup. He also played with a host of European clubs including high-profile Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk while he also played Champions League football with Maribor.
Muki and Muamer's father Sabahudin 'Saša' Vugdalić was a professional football goalkeeper in Yugoslavia and Turkey.
