National recognition for SPSL students
Two past pupils of Scoil Phobail Sliabh Luachra, Treasa Cremin and Grace Mullally, have received national awards for their outstanding performance in the Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) programme.
Treasa Cremin and Grace Mullally, who completed the LCA program in 2024, were presented with the prestigious Feargal Quinn Award at the LCA National Association Conference in Athlone recently.
These awards, determined by the State Examinations Commission, recognise the students who achieve the highest overall credits in the Leaving Certificate Applied Examination over the two-year program. The Feargal Quinn Awards highlight the effectiveness of the LCA program in providing practical, skills-based education that emphasizes personal development, work experience, and continuous assessment.
