Normally it’s such a busy time with visitors flocking to see the picturesque beauty at Muckross House – but as doors remain closed temporarily due to current restrictions – staff have decided to take it online with their first ever virtual tour.
Visitors can now access the world renowned 19th century Victorian mansion situated amidst the spectacular scenery of Killarney National Park through an online experience.
In the first tour, Head Guide Ann Tagney brings visitors inside Muckross House to show them the stunning dining room which once hosted Queen Victoria in 1861.
The virtual tours can be found on the Muckross House & Gardens Facebook Page: Muckross House, Gardens & Traditional Farms, or on Instagram: Muckross.House.Killarney.
“At this time we should be launching our busy season at Muckross House, Gardens and Traditional Farms,” Marketing Manager Aisling Kelliher told the Killarney Advertiser.
“We are missing our visitors, so we wanted to invite our visitors into the house through virtual tours so people can experience the magic of Muckross from their homes while in lockdown, we hope everyone is staying safe and we look forward to welcoming our visitors back soon.”
