Moll’s Gap road to remain closed until next week
By Sean Moriarty
The Moll’s Gap road will remain closed to traffic until next Thursday (December 23).
Kerry County Council has closed the road to allow crews carry out essential maintenance work at the Newfoundland Bay Tunnel.
As a result the N71 National Secondary Road (Killarney to Molls Gap Road) will close each day including this Saturday and Sunday between the entrance to Dinis Cottage and Molls Gap from 8am until 5.30pm.
An alternative route via Kilgarvan is signposted.
The purpose of the road closure is to facilitate repairs and works at KY-N71-005.00.
An alternative route will be clearly signposted.
