Moll’s Gap road to close for resurfacing works

By Sean Moriarty
The Moll’s Gap road between Killarney and Kenmare will be closed for one day next week to allow for essential works.
There will be no access, in either direction to Moll’s Gap, on Tuesday (October 13) between 7am and 7pm to allow resurfacing works at Carrig East Bridge, a few kilometres before Moll’s Gap itself on the Killarney side.
"The bridge is too narrow to keep one lane opened under traffic management while undertaking the resurfacing works,” a Council spokesperson said.
Alternative access to and from Kenmare will be via the Kilgarvan road.
