The Killarney Micro Track project has benefitted from the generosity of a mysterious local business - which will allow them to purchase a new state-of-art jump mat.
The new track will have Olympic standard high jump facilities in an effort to help local Paralympian Jordan Lee prepare for the European Athletics Championships in May and help him qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
“This jump mat is world class,” said Jeremiah Griffin. “The identity of the business will be revealed upon installation of the mat.”
Meanwhile a new gate will be installed in the coming days, sponsored by Keith Cronin of Torc Engineering.
