Mercy pupils welcome All-Ireland Minor Champions

WHAT a week of celebration it’s been for the four-in-a-row All-Ireland winning Kerry minor football team. Schools across the greater Killarney are were delighted to welcome the Tommy Markham Cup during the week, including Holy Cross Mercy National School.
Two of the school’s former pupils, Nelu Doherty and Jack Griffin, together with the team captain David Clifford, were delighted to display the cup to the Mercy students and staff. “To say there was excitement would be an understatement!” said a spokesperson.
Among the thrilled pupils applauding the players were Jack’s sisters Saoirse Griffin and Roisin Griffin.
