Killarney Town Twinning Association welcomed the mayor of Springfield to town last week.
Misty Boscher was on holiday in Ireland – part of a large contingent that attended the Notre Dame and Navy American Football game in Dublin last weekend.
Boscher was welcomed to Killarney by Mayor Brendan Cronin and by Sean Counihan who is chair of the Killarney Town Twinning Association.
Mayor Boscher was presented with gifts including a photographic book published by Valerie O’Sullivan and an official Killarney polo shirt.
“Brendan Cronin, as a recently elected mayor is anxious to restore visitations from Springfield which were interrupted by the covid years,” said Mr Counihan.
Springfield has been a twin city with Killarney since 1996.
