Mayor Healy-Rae’s key role in negotiations

Mayor of Killarney Maura Healy-Rae has been credited with playing a crucial role in political negotiations that secured a cabinet position for her uncle Michael Healy-Rae and a significant role for her father, Danny Healy-Rae.
Speaking to the Killarney Advertiser, Michael Healy-Rae said:
“As soon as the first votes were counted, we started negotiations. Maura’s involvement was crucial in ensuring Kerry’s priorities were brought to the table.”
Maura Healy-Rae’s dual positions as Mayor of Killarney Municipal District and a member of Kerry County Council mean that key issues affecting Kerry – and particularly Killarney - will have a direct voice in Dublin.
