Man jailed in relation to animal theft at Kennedy’s Pet Farm

A YOUNG man was imprisoned at Cork District Court yesterday in relation to handling stolen property and cruelty charges arising from a burglary at Kennedy's Pet Farm in Killarney in August 2014.
The 17-year-old, with an address in Cork, was jailed for 11 months in relation to handling pug dogs and shitzu pups and was also jailed for five months on cruelty charges.
The animals were recovered by Killarney Gardaí at a property near Bandon, Co Cork, a number of days after the burglary, and returned to their home at Kennedy's Pet Farm.
