Man arrested following aggravated burglary

A man in his 30s is to appear before Killarney District Court this morning (Tuesday) following an aggravated burglary that occurred at a house in Tralee.
Gardai arrested the man following the incident in the Rahoonane estate yesterday afternoon (Monday).
At approximately 4pm the man gained access to the residence and proceeded to assault the resident of the property with a wheel brace. The occupant of the property did not require medical treatment.
He was arrested at the scene a short time later and brought to Tralee Garda Station where he was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 where he was charged.
