M-Sport Ford WRC Clean Sweep
M
M-SPORT wrapped up three FIA world titles as well as victory at last weekend's Rally GB in Wales.
A dream result for privateer squad M-Sport, which took on and beat three manufacturer teams to secure its first manufacturers’ title since 2007.
Sixth place for Ott Tänak in an M-Sport Ford Fiesta was enough to seal the manufacturers' crown, while third for Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia in the sister car guaranteed their fifth drivers' and co-drivers' titles and Elfyn Evans' maiden victory on his and M-Sport's home round gave extra reason to celebrate.
Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle had a consistent weekend finishing seventh overall. However, the Citroen crew never challenged the leaders with Meeke citing the lack of pace from Citroen’s decision not to test in the Welsh forests, electing to pre-event test in France with dryer conditions. A decision that robbed the team of a podium result.
