Local hero breaks up street flight
A
A local hero came to rescue by bringing one man to safety during a street in Killarney town yesterday (Thursday).
Alan O’Neill from Killarney, who was on his lunch break, selflessly jumped in to help a man being attacked in a shocking daylight brawl on Barrys Lane, just off High Street, at around 1pm.
Alan brought the man to the safety of a local pub as Gardai rushed to the scene.
Killarney Garda confirmed that a male and female were arrested on public order offences.
“It’s hard to pass something like that,” Alan told the Killarney Advertiser.
“He was being attacked and I tried to help him. I couldn’t walk by and did my best to break it up.”
The Gardai are investigating.
