Local events raise over €2,000 for Kerry Hospice
Two recent events in the Killarney area have raised over €2,000 for the Kerry Hospice Foundation.
Tearmann Lodge Fundraiser
The staff at Tearmann Lodge, a facility run by the Kerry Parents & Friends Association, organised a bingo night and raffle in September. The event was a resounding success, with residents actively participating and enjoying the festivities. The event raised €832 for Kerry Hospice.
Irene O’Donoghue, the main organiser, explained the deep connection between Tearmann Lodge and Kerry Hospice. “Many of our residents and staff have benefited from the services provided by Kerry Hospice,” she said. “We are delighted to be able to give back to such a worthy cause.”
Mnά Clinic Menopause Awareness Event
In October, the Mnά Clinic in Killarney hosted a Menopause Awareness event at The Racecourse. The event, titled ‘Menopause: The Next Chapter,’ featured talks by Dr. Máire Cleary, a Women’s Health GP and Accredited Menopause Specialist, and other experts. Over 120 women attended the event, which raised €1,200 for Kerry Hospice.
“It was a fantastic opportunity for women to empower themselves with knowledge,” said Dr Cleary.
