Library to host nature talks this week

Killarney Library is set to host two talks focused on local nature and wildlife this week.
On Monday, August 18, a talk and pop-up display on the Wildlife of Killarney National Park will take place from 11:00am until 12 noon and is open to everyone.
The following day, Tuesday, August 19, Ger Scollard from the Irish Wildlife Trust Kerry Branch will lead a talk celebrating the Irish Naturalists' Journal Centenary.
This event will be held from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and the talk will cover historical records from Kerry published in the journal, how they were obtained, and the people involved in early botanical exploration of the Kerry area, particularly in Killarney.
