Liam O’Connor set for two days at Electric Picnic
By Sean Moriarty
Legendary local accordionist Liam O’Connor and his band are set to play at this weekend’s Electric Picnic – Ireland’s biggest music festival.
This will be the third time that Liam has played at the Stradbally Hall Estate venue and is something he describes as a great honour.
“Apart from being a great honour to be part of such a wonderful live music event, I thoroughly enjoy the energy that comes from such an eclectic mix of musicians from virtually all the popular genres," Liam told the Killarney Advertiser.
"It’s also wonderful to have so many Irish acts mixing it with some of the top acts in the world and doing us proud,” he said.
This year’s Electric Picnic takes place from Friday to Sunday in Co Laois and Liam and his band will be entertaining the crowds on both Saturday and Sunday.
