KWD and Victoria recycle right
O
Over the last number of months, KWD Recycling representatives visited 107 schools across 3 counties (Kerry, West Cork and West Limerick) completing ‘Recycle Right’ workshops with almost 4,000 pupils.
The reaction from the students and teachers has been very positive and KWD are confident that all involved now have the knowledge to dispose of their waste correctly. Most importantly, students now know what items can go into the recycling bin.
All schools who completed the workshops were given the opportunity to enter a competition to build ‘Kenny the KWD Recycling Truck’. KWD Recycling have thanked all of the students in each school for the effort they put into building the trucks. The entries were of a very high standard and it was a very difficult for the judges to pick a winner but prizes were awarded to the following students:
- Victoria Karaivanova (Holy Cross Mercy Primary School, Killarney)
- Cristina Lopez (Moyderwell National School, Tralee)
- Jonathan Galvin (Knockaderry National School, Farranfore)
- Ella Buckley (Dromore National School, Bantry)
- Grace Higgins (The Model School, Dunmanway)
