Kind-hearted Faha children donate to charity

A Kerry charity received an early Christmas present last week when the big-hearted children of Faha National School presented them with a cheque for €400.
The children decided to support Recovery Haven Kerry last October by holding a Hallowe'en fancy dress in the school, with each pupil making a donation.
On Friday last, the children welcomed Sharon Villa and Patricia Tyther from the cancer support charity to the school where they were delighted to present them with the €400 they raised from the event.
Thanking the children for their incredible efforts, Recovery Haven Kerry’s PR & Marketing officer, Marisa Reidy, said they were a credit to their families and school.
“There are so many deserving charities who could benefit from such a lovely gesture, so we are honoured that the children, as well as staff and management, decided to choose Recovery Haven for this particular event,” she said.
“These wonderful children should be very proud of the money they raised and we assure them that it will all go towards providing much-needed care for cancer patients across the county.”
