Killorglin homecoming for Olympic heroes
Olympic Rowers Monika Dukarska and Aileen Crowley will be honoured in their home town of Killorglin today (Saturday).
Aileen and Monika will travel through the town, from the roundabout at Laune Bridge to Library Place at around 1pm.
The Irish Women’s Pair took fifth place in the B Final in the Lightweight grade during last month’s Tokyo Olympics.
At Library Place there will be a space cordoned off for a presentation and to show the appreciation of the Killorglin people for their achievements during the Olympics.
The event will take about 30 to 45 minutes and will be conducted in a fully safe and compliant manner in line with COVID-19 restrictions.
