THIS evening will see Killarney Youth Centre, Kerry Diocesan Youth Service, become the first youth centre in Ireland to be awarded the Quality Label for Youth Centres from the Council of Europe.
The award will be presented at the Fairhill centre by Antje Rothemund, head of the Youth Department with the Council of Europe, in the presence of the Minister or Children and Youth Affairs, Katherine Zappone. “This award means we will be working with the Council of Europe in new and exciting ways,” said Tim O’Donoghue of the Killarney centre.
“We are proud that it will create multiple opportunities for young people and communities both here and across Europe to come together and exchange ideas, innovate and celebrate.”
