Killarney School of Music launches StageWorks
K
Killarney School of Music have created a new practical-based class for developing live performance skills to students. The aim of the course, which is called StageWorks, is to prepare students for excellence in stage entertainment, incorporating good tuning, timing, musical arrangement, harmony, use of amplification, presentation, audience interaction and accompaniment - all of the hallmarks of good group stage performance.
StageWorks is a great opportunity to join a group where various musicians, singers, storytellers and dancers come together to perform diverse pieces at concert venues. It’s all about being prepared and able to deliver polished performances. StageWorks students will have the opportunity to perform concert style productions in quality venues to attentive audiences in the Killarney area throughout the year.
The school’s original StageWorks class recently performed at St Mary’s Church of Ireland, showcasing a high quality performance which delighted a full house. Further concerts will take place over the summer on July 7, July 28, August 11 and August 30 in St Mary’s Church of Ireland. Admission is free and it is a great evening out.
