Killarney Gardai urge public to beware of hoax calls

KILLARNEY GARDAÍ are appealing to the public to beware of suspicious telephone calls where the callers represent themselves to be staff of AIB.
The caller states that a number of transactions were carried out through EBay and the Western union on an AIB account held by the recipient of the telephone call and the caller requests funds to be transferred to Western Union account in Ukraine. Calls are made through Viber or a +88 number.
Gardaí are warning the public not to give any personnel or account details to these types of callers.
