It’s the third EuroMillions Plus win of the year in Kerry – this time in Killarney – as a winning €500,000 ticket has just been revealed!

The winning ticket for last night’s (Tuesday) EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 was sold at Daly’s SuperValu, Park Road.

“We are almost 35 years in business here in Killarney and this is the first time we’ve had a major National Lottery prize winning ticket sold here, so it’s great to get off the mark!” store owner John Daly said.

“It’s a fantastic bit of news for one of our customers and I hope it is one of our regulars. Most of our trade comes from the local community – we do get a lot of tourist trade too but not this year – so whoever the €500,000 winner is we wish them the very best of luck. Myself and all the staff at Daly’s SuperValu will be spreading the word and encouraging all our shoppers to check their tickets.”

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers for last night’s draw were: 01, 09, 42, 46 and 50. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold yesterday, (Tuesday).

There was no winner of the €59,184,725 EuroMillions jackpot, which rolls to an estimated €65 million for this Friday’s draw.

Meanwhile, the National Lottery is yet to hear from the winners of the two other recent Kerry EuroMillions Plus top prize wins. Amazingly both of these tickets were sold at Sheahan’s Centra store in Glenbeigh, and were won on the EuroMillions draws on Friday  February 28 and Tuesday, March 31.

Firies resident and motorcycle enthusiast Sean Collins has launched a new charity raffle, with an electric bike as the top prize.

All proceeds from the draw will go directly to the Dunmanway Cancer Day Care Unit at Cork University Hospital (CUH).
Sean is a regular fundraiser for cancer services; last March, he organised a successful motorcycle run that raised €2,400 for the same unit. This year, he has shifted focus to an electric bike raffle to continue his support for the facility.
The draw is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 7 June, at Henderson’s Bar in Firies. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be broadcast live on the Henderson’s Bar Facebook page.
Tickets are priced at €10 each and are currently available in various shops throughout Killarney and the surrounding areas. The prize was made possible through the support of O’Sullivan’s Cycles and KC Print Ltd in Killarney.
For any enquiries regarding tickets or the draw, Sean Collins can be contacted directly on 087 4436650.
