Killarney Athletic launch annual seven-a-side soccer tournament

Killarney Athletic AFC officially launched its Annual 7 a-side tournament in Killarney Credit Union on Monday this week.
The event will begin on June 24 at the Killarney Athletic AFC Grounds, Woodlawn,
and the tournament’s main sponsor is Killarney Credit Union.
Killarney Athletic AFC Chairman Donie Murphy said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our 45th year of the sevens and after last year’s successful return we are looking forward to yet another action-packed Tournament, We are also thrilled that Killarney Credit Union are once again out main sponsor. Not forgetting our under-age competitions for boys and girls from U10’s-U16.”
The competitions will take place over a few weeks with games Monday to Friday and underage games being played on our astro turf pitch.
The tournament is open to all ages. Senior Ladies (over 16) Senior Men, Over 35s, and underage boys and girls from 10-16 years.
There will be a range of accolades as part of the event, the Premier and Reserve Cups, the Kieran Cahillane Senior Player of the Tournament Award will be on offer for the outstanding player on view, while The Johnny Heffernan Underage Player of the Tournament Award will also be up for grabs. Also, there will be free entry to the 2025 tournament for the Premier Cup winners.

The entry fee for Senior Men: €200; Over 35s: €200; Senior Ladies: €150
U 14/16: €100. U10/12: €100 (this competition takes place on the 28th -29th June)
The closing date for all ages (to be returned to the credit union) is Thursday 6th June before 5.30pm
The draw will take place on Monday 10th June
