Killarney adventurers conquer Ireland’s Four Peaks

A group of seven adventurous Killarney men recently embarked on a challenging three-day trek, conquering the highest peak in each of Ireland’s four provinces.
This gruelling feat was undertaken to raise funds for the invaluable work of the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team (KMRT).
The intrepid hikers, Pat Sheehan, Paudie Dineen, Denis Reen, Rory Murphy, Niall Dennehy, Martin Maher, and Jer Maher, set off on Thursday, October 25, and returned home on Sunday evening.
Their journey took them to Lugnaquilla in Wicklow, Slieve Donard in Down, Mweelrea in Mayo, and finally, Carrauntoohil in Kerry.
To facilitate the expedition, Niall Dennehy, the trip organiser, drove a minibus provided by Kerry Coaches, who generously waived the fee and donated it to the KMRT.
The group’s efforts have raised over €1,500 for the KMRT, which relies on volunteers to provide essential search and rescue services in the region.
