Kilkenny Shop boxes clever to help a good cause
T
THE Kilkenny Group’s two Killarney stores, the Kilkenny Shop, New Street, and Christy’s of Main Street had it all wrapped up when it came to aiding a good cause.
The stores are poised to donate €4445 to Kerry Mental Health Services following their Christmas gift-wrapping appeal, which raised a record amount.
The figure was made up from over €2200 in donations from their customers, which Kilkenny matched, bringing the total to €4445.
Each of Kilkenny's 15 stores nationwide supported a chosen charity this Christmas, said CEO Marian O’Gorman, with over €58,000 being raised in total by the group.
"Every year, Kilkenny Shop does its utmost to support local charities throughout the country,” said Ms O’Gorman.
“We are an Irish company that stocks primarily Irish, so it is important to us to support local, and we are delighted that so many of you supported this appeal.”
